About Me

Hi, my name is Sara and I am new here. I was in the middle of living my best life when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I was “blindside” as they say in one of my favorite tv shows Survivor! Stage 3 HER 3+ breast cancer – it’s in my breast and lymph nodes. And from what my doctors say, it is aggressive.

I have oozed health and wellness for the last 20 years of my life. I am an exercise enthusiast and have consistently worked out forever. I pop broccoli and vegetables like skittles. I breeze through stress. I chose a career in health care. I breastfed for four years. And I love life!

First I asked, “How can this happen to me??” but then I realized how often it does happen. And cancer doesn’t discriminate.

My goal of this blog is to give others facing a similar diagnosis some insight into the treatment process and how to manage life, health, exercise, marriage, motherhood, your career and more through this live-altering phase. And from what I have heard, it’s all about taking it one day at a time.
